The controversial Ugandan singer Bebe Cool (Moses Sali) was Friday night rushed to Nsambya Hospital in critical condition after he was shot by cops at Kampala’s Nakumatt Oasis shopping mall. The singer who had hours earlier performed at R Kelly’s I Believe concert got embroiled in what we can call a nasty affair.

According to reliable sources, a couple was making out at the back of their car, when two cops on patrol pounced on them. The cops then tried to stop the couple and even asked them to leave the scene, but they could neither stop nor leave. The man then insisted to call his lawyer when the cops decided to arrest them. Apparently, the lawyer happened to be, Bebe Cool!

He showed up with five other men who are believed to have been his security men. An alteration ensued between the two sides and one of the cops was forced to fire into the air. One of the men tried to wrestle down the cop and disarm him. In the event, four men were shot, and Bebe suffered gunshot wounds on both legs.

The singer underwent surgery on Saturday and is said to be recuperating well at Nsambya Hospital in Uganda. His wife, Zuena Kirema who witnessed the unfortunate happenings, was too distressed to comment on what happened.
